A few weeks ago I was excited to see that some root cuttings I’d set out late last year had begun to show some top growth, just some tiny shoots.

Here they are now, growing away strongly.

Whilst top growth does precede root growth, I’d be surprised if they were able to grow away like this without some corresponding root growth. I’ll leave them be for another week then I’ll take the plunge and check one of them for roots, see if they are ready to pot up.

By the way, I previously mused about one of these cuttings looking different and that possibly it was a stray Eryngium. Nah. It was just a particularly green anemone. Looks like all the rest now.

I’ll be back, with an update on roots and hopefully potting up in a week or so.
