This week’s Six was a close run thing. I was out all day yesterday at a friend’s wedding and got back with about 10 minutes of daylight left. If the photos are less bright than usual that is why! I’ll get straight on with it as I have a gin and tonic to drink.
1. Aster something or other.

2. Clematis tangutica ‘Bill Mackenzie’. A plant gone wild this year, if I had trained it properly it would have climbed up 15 feet, but instead it has flopped over everything within reach.

3. Eryngium seedheads
4. Rose ‘Generous Gardener’. I eventually got around to tying in the new stems that were flowering on the floor. Now they are flowering at nose height.

5. Fuchsia dunnowhat

6. Prunus kojo no mai
Back next week!
Love the unexpected color in Clematis tangutica ‘Bill Mackenzie’. Based on comments, I’d say you have a winner there.
Here is my offering for this week. https://barefootlilylady.com/2021/09/22/six-on-saturday-need-more-color/
See you next week!

I love the clematis, a wonderful and very uncommon colour in clematis. My contribution this week is rather a slimmed down entry, the bare essential six.

A G&T sounds good. I think it is time to head downstairs and make one! I have quite a few of the ‘dunnowhat’ plants in my garden, but as long as they are pretty, who cares! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

What a stunning color on that clematis! I have a couple of things blooming here, but have been preoccupied with weird fruit. https://stoneyknob.wordpress.com/2021/09/18/sos-pawpaw-overdose/

Nice fall color on the cherry. I like fuchsia very much, but have no place to put them in winter. My mother had loads, but she could leave them outside.

The Clematis is great! Might have to try it again, the first time, many years ago, didn’t go so well. Here’s my Out Of Town Six – a first for me, I think.

Sorry can’t quite manage it, must just say that box moth caterpillar has triumphed in the garden and the apples have been picked and juiced.

Like your clematis, could do with one of those myself, all my others have stopped flowering now. Fuchsias are doing well too, they earn their space in the garden at this time of year.

They’re a good series, the ‘Dunnowhat’ Fuchsias, we have several. I’m still trying to pretend it’s summer but your ‘Kojo no mai’ and the weather tell a different story. Petty Aster. Here’s mine: https://wp.me/p6bCCa-31c

Prunus looking great. Mine is looking to go straight from summer to dropping leaves with no colour change but that’s part of being close to the sea. Autumn leaves are bypassed.
This week’s six with seed germination, dahlias, heuchera, geraniums and dragonflies. https://30daysofwildparenting.wordpress.com/2021/09/18/six-on-saturday-18-9-21/amp/?__twitter_impression=true
