This week’s Six was a close run thing. I was out all day yesterday at a friend’s wedding and got back with about 10 minutes of daylight left. If the photos are less bright than usual that is why! I’ll get straight on with it as I have a gin and tonic to drink.
1. Aster something or other.
2. Clematis tangutica ‘Bill Mackenzie’. A plant gone wild this year, if I had trained it properly it would have climbed up 15 feet, but instead it has flopped over everything within reach.
3. Eryngium seedheads
4. Rose ‘Generous Gardener’. I eventually got around to tying in the new stems that were flowering on the floor. Now they are flowering at nose height.
5. Fuchsia dunnowhat
6. Prunus kojo no mai

A G&T sounds good. I think it is time to head downstairs and make one! I have quite a few of the ‘dunnowhat’ plants in my garden, but as long as they are pretty, who cares! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Nice fall color on the cherry. I like fuchsia very much, but have no place to put them in winter. My mother had loads, but she could leave them outside.

Like your clematis, could do with one of those myself, all my others have stopped flowering now. Fuchsias are doing well too, they earn their space in the garden at this time of year.

Prunus looking great. Mine is looking to go straight from summer to dropping leaves with no colour change but that’s part of being close to the sea. Autumn leaves are bypassed.
